Day 227: What I ate

Day 227: What I ate

Admittedly I’ve become a eating-simple-and-lovin’-it convert over the course of this pandemic. My lunches are so simple many people might find them downright boring. No ordered-in food, no takeouts, no dine-outs. What? No going out? What’s life without all that glorious food? you ask. Pretty awesome, actually🤸, my shorts are looser at the waist and I don’t really think about outside food, to be honest.

At the end of the day, it’s all down to necessity, and weighing priorities against risks until such time this virus makes us privy to its best-kept secret by stamping the word ‘asymptomatic’ on the foreheads on those who’re walking around, unwittingly infected and spreading it around, unbeknownst even to themselves.

Hey, virus, if asymptomatic is too big a word for you to spell, just put a check mark on their foreheads, can you do that?

Don’t know what a check mark is?! *slaps forehead and rolls eyeballs to ceiling*

Heck, which planet do you come from? Okay, okay then, have a look at the Nike logo and just do it, okay, dude?

So back to lunch, just to give you an idea what I’m having these days. First things first, plop on the butter, blobs of butter, loads of butter😋.

Next comes the coconut jam. Just a thin layer. Why they make these jams so sweet, I’ll never understand! Anyways, I love how the jam sinks into those air pockets in the grain toast and fills them up😋.

Day 227: What I ate

Then a cup of coffee, an orange, and home-roasted almonds and peanuts, and Ruffles cheddar and sour cream chips👎. Just for fun, I decided to order a bag of Ruffles sour cream and onion chips but they ran out and delivered this instead. Haven’t had chips in ages and thought, heck, the way 2020’s going, what difference does it make, right? let’s eat something unhealthy, who cares?🙄😒

Day 227: What I ate

Wow, was I stuffed! Probably overdid it. This is what happens with having a handful of this and a few of that. You lose track of your portions and you end up feeling like a potato. But then, I need the carbs for my workouts. Oh well!
