Food. Life. Laughs. Ramblings. Of A Tongue-in-Cheek Mom
The forgotten yummy
October 3, 2019
Ever since I started my vegetarian stint, I’ve felt the need for a sugar fix every now and then. Now being a picky eater, figuring out what sweet yummies to indulge in can be quite taxing on the grey matter. Some days, I’ve been dizzy with joy over bowls of sweet potato dessert soup, the homemade low-sugar version, of course. Other days, there’s just been my tongue hanging out 😛 .
Apparently there’s one sweet yummy that I’m in love with but have completely forgotten about! Yup, never even entered my mind at all in these few months of vegetarianing (new word!) 😀 until I came across this photo while telling my growling tummy to be quiet. Never a good idea to be scrolling through old food pix when you’re hungry.
Man, I love me a good old herbal jelly doused in honey. To me, the better-tasting herbal jellies are those with a bitter taste to challenge the sweetness of the honey. Now whether the honey is real or fake as in sugar syrup masquerading as honey is always a question in this cynic’s mind. Nevertheless I’m often too excited about the jelly itself to care less about anything else 😛 . Ouch, look at that! Wish I could have some right nanana!
