1. Times Square is the setting for the infamous ball drop signaling a brand new year….when did you last ‘drop the ball’ on something?

My attempts at teaching myself French have stalled. What can I say? We’ve been busy with the move and without anyone to practise with, I don’t suppose you can get very far with languages.

2. What is one thing you resolved to do in 2013 that you actually did?

I’m not sure. I didn’t make any resolutions last year. But the one thing we are constantly striving to do is to eat healthier and we did manage that without being crazy picky and fanatical.

3. Jack London is quoted as saying, “You can’t wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club.” Agree or disagree? Why?

Sure, why not?

4. What was the best thing you ate in 2013?

I fell madly in love with this tri-tip taco in California. You can’t see much of the filling because of the thick layer of lettuce but trust me when I say the smokiness of that tri-tip is outta this world. Wish I could have it now!!

5. Share an anti-resolution…that is, something you plan to keep on doing in the new year.

Keep on working out and eating healthier.

6. The Pantone color of the year for 2014 is radiant orchid. Like or no like? Would I find this color anywhere in your home or wardrobe? Will you add something in this shade to either?

My new Gap hoodie is the color of orchid. Totally love it.

7. In three words or less, sum up your 2013?

Good riddance.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

We planned to stay up to ring in the new year last night. Ultimate fail. We fell asleep 20 minutes short of midnight and slept in this morning. It’s 45 degrees out, too cozy in bed. Hope you are charged up to take on the new year and good health, kindness and happiness to all.
