Monday Quiz 42

Acting Balanced1. Today is National Christmas Card Day – do you send Christmas Cards?

I haven’t sent them in years since switching to e-cards.

2. What item do you “always” buy when it goes on sale at the Grocery Store?

There isn’t really one that I always buy. It depends on the stock level.

3. Certain flavours are associated with Christmas/December – what flavor do you most associate with the holiday season?

Cinnamon.

4. Do you think gift cards are a good idea for Christmas or are they a cop-out?

I think they’re great as I prefer to pick out my own gift rather than receive a duplicate or something I don’t need and then have to figure out what to do with it. On the other hand, they aren’t as exciting as receiving an actual gift.

5. My question…

What’s the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?

Have a great week, everyone.

The best Christmas gift I ever received was a book. I love and cherish books and not a day goes by that I don’t read at least a chapter in whatever the current book is I am reading. Growing up in my mid-teen years, I read a true story called Karen by her mother Marie Killilea. Karen was born in the late 40’s with cerebral palsy and despite early predictions, she turned out to be a very intelligent little girl who learned to walk despite all the odds. I wanted to find that book again and never could. This was in the days before the internet. My hubby made many many calls and found it at an old book store in New York. He had to pay a fairly high price for it, but he wrapped it up and got it for me for Christmas that year. I was stunned. I still have it and still re-read it at least once a year.
