Monday Quiz 39

Acting Balanced1. Yesterday (Sunday) was National Adoption Day in the US – does your family (or friend family) have an adoption story?

Nope.

2. Do you plan out your Thanksgiving preparations? When do you start?

I’ve done my groceries, just waiting for the day now.

3. Shopping on holidays – pro or con? What do you think of stores and malls opening at 6 PM or 10 PM on Thanksgiving for “Black Friday” What about Midnight or 3 AM? Are you planning to shop at any time this coming weekend?

It seems retailers are getting awful impatient about starting the sales earlier. My inbox has been brimming with Black Friday notifications since last week. I’m not planning to buy anything but if the sales are irresistibly good, I might consider. There’s some kitchen stuff I need but I’m kinda holding out to see if I can get those for cheap.

4. Do you have a fireplace? Do you use it? If you don’t, do you want one?

No but I think they’re cool warm.

5. My question…

Will you be doing/cooking anything new this Thanksgiving?

Have a great Monday, everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving.

I love quizzes like this, I’ll play along.

Q1. My husband, my brother and I are all adopted.
Q2. I’m Canadian so we already celebrated Thanksgiving but since we live so far away from Family, we don’t do anything special. I try and make every day a day of giving and thanks.
Q3. If others want to sleep on a cold sidewalk in front of a store, who am I to tell them differently. I do not participate in this bedlam.
Q4. We do not have a fireplace 🙁 This is the first (of 4 homes) that doesn’t. Both my husband and I would love one.
q5. I don’t cook or bake. I recently learned how to use a slow cooker (kind of). I can make a mean salad, grilled cheese and rice (in my rice cooker). Sorry for the blog post 😉
