Wednesday Hodgepodge 150

1. Describe a typical Sunday from your childhood.

I remember Sundays to be boring and quiet. We lived in the city where there was lots going on but come Sundays, everything was pretty much closed. I usually just stayed home reading and writing.

2. How comfortable are you with uncertainty? Explain.

Uncertainty isn’t something I handle very well. I’m a planner by nature and when things are uncertain, I can’t really plan and that bums me out. But I’m learning things aren’t always within my control so I just have to find a way to deal with it.

3. What have you accomplished recently that might be described as crafty, as in ‘arts and crafts’ crafty? If crafty doesn’t work for you, how about handy? Or both?

Quite honestly, I’ve been busy as a bee. No time to be crafty. I can’t think of anything handy… oh, except checking my car for water and engine oil, and pumping air in my tires.

4. Have you ever worked in a ‘food place’? What did you take away from the experience?

5. Cold turkey, talk turkey, what a turkey…in recent days, which turkey phrase or idiom best applies to you and why? Click on the word turkey if you need to read more about the meaning behind each phrase.

The girls and I have been talking turkey quite a bit about what would be good to major in at college.

6. If you could have any one guest join your Thanksgiving dinner table, who would it be?

I’m thinking hard. No one in mind. Oh wait, how about Tony Stark? He could probably nuke the Thanksgiving turkey for me with his handy-dandy Ironman hand and save me 3 hours of roasting time.

7. What is one thing you must accomplish today?

I must get my workout in today. I missed it yesterday and now I feel like a bag of deflated popcorn 😆 .

8. Insert your own random thought here.

If I sound strange today, it’s because I am feeling weird and talking funny. I’ve had a rough morning and I’m just not myself right now. Okay, something happened this morning. I can’t talk about it now but I’ll blog about it tomorrow soon as I catch my breath.

Till then, my lovelies, have a great Wednesday.

Love your answer for #6 – Tony Stark would be fun to have at Thanksgiving. I’m a planner too, I enjoy anticipation of an event and looking forward to something 🙂 Happy Wednesday – hope the rest of your day goes better!!

Sorry you had a rough day. I hope today goes better for you. I’ve had a stressor in my life that I’ve not blogged about either. Nothing family related, more to do with a volunteer position I’m in that is extremely unpleasant. I’m thinking when my term is up I may write about it then, not in specifics but more in ‘what I’ve learned’ fashion. Happy Thursday!
