1. Have you learned more from success or failure? Explain.

I would say there are probably more lessons to be learnt from failure. It’s generally more difficult to pick yourself up after failing but if you’re somehow able to do that, I think that, in itself, is the biggest step forward and the rest of the learning points should just fall into place.

2. What did you call your grandparents when you were growing up? If you have children, what do they call your parents? If you have grandchildren, what do they call you?

Gramma and grampa, and that’s what my kids call their grandparents.

3. You’re invited to a luau. In keeping with that theme, what dish will you bring to share?

Pineapple upside-down cake?

4. Besides Jesus, what one person’s life story do you think everyone should know about?

The life story of the Buddha. I think everyone should read the life stories of the religious greats to appreciate and respect each other’s religions better.

5. “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” Agree or Disagree? Why?

Totally agree. If you focus on the little things, you might miss seeing the bigger picture.

6. June is National Rivers Month. When were you last on a river? What’s the prettiest river you’ve ever seen? What’s a river you’d like to see?

Not counting the river rides at Disneyland, my last encounter with a river was years ago on a trip to Thailand where I rode a river raft.

7. Speaking of rivers-paddling, fishing, swimming, or bird watching safely from the shore? Which activity would you choose? Yes-you have to choose.

I think paddling is something I might enjoy.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

I hate to rant but this weather is really insanely hot!! But I’m determined not to let it ruin my week. Care to rant/rave about the weather where you’re at?

Our weather has been in the 60’s this week and rainy. But I’m not complaining like many Minnesotans are because I’m just happy it’s not snowing! I love your explanation about learning about other religious greats. If people would keep an open mind to other’s beliefs maybe there wouldn’t be so much hatred and war. Have a fabulous day!

Love your #4 It’s similar to mine, but without the spit and vinegar I was feeling this morning. O:) The World Religions class I took in college was the greatest elective I took.

Our weather the last few days has been stellar! I little cool, light jacket weather, in the mornings and evenings and then nice in the afternoons and sunny. I don’t think it’s supposed to stay that way much longer though.

I’d like a river raft trip in Thailand one of these days. Stay cool! The weather seems to be crazy in some way or another all over the world right now.
