Wednesday Hodgepodge 123

1. This week’s Hodgepodge is Volume 123. What’s something you’ve done recently that was as easy as 1-2-3?

Baking a batch of cookies is easy-peasy when you have two eager kitchen helpers.

2. The Wednesday Hodgepodge also happens to fall on the first day of May …what is something you may do this month?

I have a post about that coming up soon, wait for it 😉 !

3. The Englishman Horace Walpole is credited as saying, “The world is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think”. How do you see it?

I prefer to look at the world as a comedy with love, laughter and happy thoughts, and far, far less violence, greed and suffering.

4. May is National Hamburger Month…how often do you eat a burger? What are your must-haves when it comes to burgers? I assume you vegetarians won’t be celebrating so tell us what you’d like instead?

Not very often at all but when I do, onions and mushrooms are a must.

5. Pansies, petunias, geraniums, impatiens…of the four mentioned, which is your favorite in a patio pot? Will there be pots on your patio this spring? (Or whenever spring comes to your part of the globe?) Who does the gardening at your house?

Geraniums are nice. But I don’t have the time or the inclination, and Tyson (our cheeky beagle) eats plants for dessert and is on a crusade of digging up plants he can’t eat, so no pots on my patio at any time of year 😆 .

6. When did you last (literally or figuratively) shout “Mayday, Mayday!”

When my car started making weird noises during our grocery run and I had to pull up at the nearest gas station which, luckily for us, was just beside us at the traffic stop.

7. Say farewell to your April in ten words or less.

Happy we’re done.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

We stuffed ourselves with popcorn at the movies last week. Unhealthy but smells so amazing we just can’t stop!! Our latest craze is caramel popcorn. What’s your favorite flavor of popcorn?

I run a Senior Section Girlguiding unit (14-25 year olds) and they LOVE popcorn. It’s gluten free too, which is perfect as we have people who have to have dairy free foods and gluten free foods! I usually have a box with microwave popcorn – salted and sweet which makes everybody happy. And 2 bags of popcorn between 8 people isn’t too unhealthy? I hope?!

My fave is my homemade honey and cinnamon.

I’m intrigued by mushrooms on a burger – i’ve never heard of that before! It’s fun to see what all the HodgePodgers have as ‘musts’ on their burgers!!

I love caramel popcorn too. Or any popcorn for that matter. Especially at the movies. 🙂
    Have a great Wednesday!

I’m a bit of a popcorn addict myself. In fact my hubs won’t be home for dinner tonite so I’ll make a meal of popcorn. I do buy the light at home but I love the salty sweet combo too. Really, I like any popcorn, but movie theatre is the best !

Definitely caramel popcorn is my one of my favorites, but I also like “kettle corn.” We have a festival in the town just north of us each year, and this husband and wife team make kettle corn right on the street. I think I could literally work for them for free– they could just pay me in popcorn. LOL.

Stopping by from the Hodgepodge. Have a great rest of the week!
