Monday Quiz 13

Acting Balanced1. Do spelling and grammar mistakes annoy you?

Everywhere I go, I’m constantly correcting spelling and grammar mistakes in my head. The sad truth is that grown-ups are passing along their mistakes and mispronunciations to the kids because they themselves don’t have a good grasp of the language.

2. If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?

I don’t know, maybe watch Van Gogh create his work of art. I probably won’t have the patience to sit through the whole thing. I’ll be hanging out at the nearest Starbucks. Maybe if I offer him a cup of designer coffee, he might just say, “Mmm, that coffee’s great. Here, take this (Van Gogh) and we’ll call it even!”

3. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a teacher. Isn’t that the ambition of all kids, to be a teacher 😆 ?

4. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?

Give your parents the same love and care they’re showering on you now.

5. My question…

What are your plans for the month of May?

Amen to #1. I try to be polite and not say anything out loud while the nails drag across the chalkboard of my mind. But ya know what, too often bad manners are passed down with the bad grammar!

Aside from me not being a Van Gogh fan, our #2 was similar except that I didn’t think of hanging out at Starbucks. Michelangelo probably would have appreciated the coffee break during the Sistine Chapel too. Maybe he could have sculpted a smaller version of his David for me?

I’ll celebrate the 8-year anniversary of my first date with my husband! I also have a day trip for my semi-annual trip to see my neurologist, but that includes a baseball game!

I’m not a Van Gogh fan either, that was just an example 😆 . Grats on your anniversary. And about No. 1, I try not to be judgemental either but I can’t help being very frustrated with the standard of English which seems to have deteriorated beyond redemption.

    This was fun.

May I’ll be boating and then more boating and after that even more boating. It’s that time of year to get out on the water and cruise.

Have a terrific day filled with smiles. 🙂

No official plans. The only thing I know that is going to happen is a poker night at a friends house. Class start back up at the end of May too.
