Monday Quiz 12

Acting Balanced1. Who do you like to quote?

Shakespeare. The man is brilliant, he’s my literary hero. How could I not quote him? I had to memorize so many of his quotes for my Literature class back in school that they literally roll off my tongue.

My favorite from Julius Caesar (Act 3 Scene 1) because it so reminds me of me 😉 : But I am constant as the Northern Star, of whose true fixed and resting quality, there is no fellow in the firmament.

2. Have you ever made something you wore out in public?

Can’t sew, can’t knit, none of that. But the rebel in me loves to mess do up my clothes so they don’t look like what everyone else is wearing. Like paint them, cut holes in them, run tire tracks over them, ya know, nothing too outrageous.

3. When was the last time you used a telephone (not a cell phone)?

When my dad called. For some strange reason, he loves making me run, as if I don’t get enough exercise already using the land line.

4. What was the first recording you bought with your own money?

I honestly have no idea.

5. My question…

How do you keep cool in the hotter months of the year?

Have a great week 😀 .

We keep cool by using ceiling fans and room air conditioners. We did away with central air when we replaced our furnace.

I keep cool drinking cool drinks, staying out of the sun, and circulating the air with fans. When my husband forces me too (all too often) I turn on the central air.

I keep cool in warmer months by wearing skirts. On really hot days I will wear a handkerchief that has been drenched in cold water than wrung out around my neck.

Aside from having ice cream more often in the summer, keeping cool is something I seldom even think about; there are still plenty of places I can go shiver. When it’s 100 degrees and I’m home, I still go sit out on the porch for 10 minutes to get out of the air conditioning and warm up! 🙂 I’m a summer child through and through.
