Wednesday Hodgepodge 120

1. Share one fun thing you did last week, while the Hodgepodge was on ‘spring break’.

We watched The 3 Musketeers, the one with Chris O’Donnell, Keifer Sutherland and the other guy (anyone know his name ‘cos I don’t 😆 ) . It’s an old movie we watched when the girls were younger. It was really fun to watch it again. We still love it.

2. April 10th is National Sibling Day…do you have siblings, and if so, are you close? Share a favorite story featuring one or all of your siblings. If you don’t have siblings, did you ever wish you did?

I have a half-brother and we were close until my half-SIL came into the picture.

3. Is it important to you to ‘buy American’? Why or why not? How much of an effort do you make to ‘buy American’? If you’re not American, insert your own country in the blank.

In most instances, I don’t really care where non-food items come from. I’m more concerned about quality, design or my needs.

4. Besides The Bible, what book has impacted your spirituality in some way?

As a teenager, I spent many an afternoon at the library reading and researching all of the major religions of the world to gain an appreciation of what each has to offer. The ones that have truly impacted my spirituality are the Buddha’s teachings.

5. April showers bring May flowers or so the saying goes. Do you find rainy days calming or depressing? When were you last caught in a rainstorm? What’s blooming in your neck of the woods today?

Love rainy days because that’s all there is to cool the weather down, even just a little. We get freaky rainstorms all the time so getting caught in one is pretty common.

6. What’s your favorite yellow food?

7. April is National Poetry Month…what’s a poem that holds special meaning for you, and why is it special?

I’m not really into poems.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

My girl friend and I tried to meet up two weeks ago but she had to cancel because the internet guy was going over to upgrade her connection. We arranged to meet today and I had some car trouble on the way there. I was a full 45 minutes late but at least, we managed to catch up. Since we’ll both be away soon and won’t get a chance to meet up for a few months, it was nice we got to hang out over a relaxing cup of coffee.

Have a great rest of the week, everyone.

I think the other guy is Charlie Sheen [the one in the news lately]…and I too love that movie. Have you ever seen the more recent movie, Man in the Iron Mask, starring Leonardo DiCaprio? It too is about the Three Musketeers…and one EXCELLENT movie in my opinion. I like bananas myself, but my choice is they can’t be all that yellow…mine is more with a hint of green still.

We had to postpone our trip to see my parents so will go on Friday instead. We have a freezing rain warning and decided to head it. Thank goodness for flexibility.

I don’t think I ever saw The Three Musketeers…I’ll have to look for it. I like Chris O’Donnell. Have a nice weekend!
