Wednesday Hodgepodge 118

1. March 20th is the first day of spring…is she a lion or a lamb in your part of the world?

Okay so I’m officially jealous of you guys. I love spring, it’s my favorite season but guess what? We have no spring. Only summer. It’s not fair. Who needs summer all year long, huh, tell me??! 😐

2. What’s the most dreaded task on your spring clean to-do list? Do you have a ‘plan of attack’?

Anything that remotely resembles cleaning and housework qualifies as the most dreaded task for me 😳 . No plan of attack except to go with what Nike recommends and just do it.

3. Peas…love ’em or hate ’em? What’s a favorite dish you make using peas?

Hate ’em but I will eat them if they are served to me, simply because I don’t like to waste food.

4. Do you feel under appreciated?

Not very often. When I do, I will just cook my daughters their favorite food and I’ll get score a heap of thanks-Mom and mmm-wow-this-is-the-best-Mom.

5. Have you been using Google Reader? If so, what are you switching to now that GR has announced retirement? If not, how do you read your favorite blogs?

I’ve been using Google Reader since the beginning and I’m shattered by the news. I’m still looking around but I haven’t decided yet what I’m going to use. I signed up for Bloglovin a while back when they retired Google Friend Connect. I like it, it’s pretty good. It lets you import your blogs easily from Google Reader and it’s also available on mobile. Go check it out if you’re interested. And if you follow me on Google Reader, pretty please follow me on Bloglovin.

6. Anne Bradstreet is credited with the following quote~”If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” Agree or Disagree? Why?

Agree. If we’ve never had a chance to experience something, where would we have a basis for comparing it with something else?

7. When did you last ‘spring for something’? What was it?

I’m springing for the weekend. It’s been a fuller week than usual and I just want to kick my shoes off and hang a Do Not Disturb sign on the door.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

I could use a nice big bowl of clam chowder right now. Have a great week, everyone!

Kicking back would be wonderful. Since we came home from our vacation we hit the floor running every day.

I LOVE the change of seasons, so summer all year long would not be my cup of tea. I am in the same position with the whole Google Reader thing…it is frustrating that people can just flip the switch and turn off a program that so many people use (can you tell I’m not a fan of change?!)

When we were in Florida in February I told my husband I’d miss the fall if I lived there year round. I need fall in my life…its my favorite season.

I’m on bloglovin’ as well…hoping all this new traffic they must be getting doesn’t crash their site : ) I added you to my ‘new’ reader.
