Wednesday Hodgepodge 108

1. What is ONE thing or area in your home or life you hope to report is completely organized when 2013 draws to a close? Do you have a plan to make it happen?

I’d like to be able to manage a vaguely intelligible smattering of French. I’m learning to clear my throat in as dignified a way as I know how 😉 . I need lots more practice.

2. What’s the worst uniform you’ve ever had to wear for a job?

I’ve never worn a uniform to work.

3. What was your last kitchen ‘mishap’? This question comes to you courtesy of Betty who blogs over at A Glimpse Into Midlife…everyone go say hi to Betty!

Setting the timer too long on my oven toaster, only to be occupied with making coffee or something, and then gah, the smell of burning toast!!

4. How do you protect yourself from other people’s negativity?

Tell myself or try to convince them that things aren’t always as bad as they seem.

5. Who in your family do you most resemble (physically)? If you have children, who do people say they favor? Do you agree?

I’m not sure. No one has actually told me who I resemble. My three kids all have features that favor me in some way. Raine, my middle daughter, is a younger, cuter version of moi.

6. January 8th is National Bubble Bath Day…will you be celebrating?

If it were National Shower Day, maybe.

7. Some of the ‘world’s best winter festivals’ are – Mardi Gras (New Orleans), Quebec Winter Festival (Canada), Sundance Film Festival (Park City, Utah), Rio Carnivale (Brazil), Sapporo Snow Festival (Japan), Venice Carnival (Italy) and the Harbin Ice Festival (Northern China). Of those listed (and if cost were not a factor) which would you most like to attend and why?

They all sound interesting except for one. Think I’ll go with Italy’s Venice Carnival.

8. Insert you own random thought here.

Craving this right now… sashimi salad with a killer dressing. Definitely gonna go get some this weekend.

I am so scatterbrained that I forget what I am cooking all the time. Thankful for the kitchen timer. I can’t think of how many things I have burned over the years because I would go start doing something else and forget about it. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Have you tried Rosetta Stone? I’m looking into it as being fluent in French is a goal of mine too. I muddle through, but there is a lot of pantomiming : ) Our library lets you check out the Rosetta stone on their loaner laptop to try before you buy.

Nice to see you in the HP today!
