1. Who do you look like in your family?

It’s funny but no one’s ever told me who I look like. Maybe I have a look all of my own 😉 .

2. Would you rather read a novel, a poem, a magazine, or a how-to book?

There’s so much stuff to read online I’ve abandoned reading print. I don’t subscribe to newspapers or magazines. I’d rather save the money to go shopping… and bonus: do my bit for the environment maybe?

I’d love to read a book but it takes me forever and I lose interest after a while. I came across a book recently that I loved as a teen. It’s called The Picture of Dorian Gray. I was so excited I dived straight in. I’ve gotten as far as 4 chapters… um, in 2 months. If I get through it by Christmas, I’ll be laughing.

3. Is there anything in your future that seems challenging, daunting, or “larger than life”?

Hip2bDaughter2, my 16yo, is really keen on doing NaNoWriMo next month. She’s been trying to sell the idea to Hip2bDaughter1, my 18yo, and me though I seriously doubt that Raine needs any persuading. They’re both prolific writers and NaNo or no, writing is a daily thing for these two.

Last year, they convinced me to do NaNo and I ended up with a measly 1,000+ words while Raine raced on to 21,000+ with Hip2bDaughter2 close behind. Back in 2004, before I got the girls interested, I went as far as 25,000 words. Pretty happy with that.

This year? I don’t know. We’ll see 😛 .

4. Do you have any big projects for this season? (DIY/household/craft or sewing/home business/ whatever you consider a project)

We did a massive clean-up last weekend and quite frankly, that was quite enough for me, thanks.

5. Please finish this: It made me so happy to_________________.

…hear the rolling thunder and lashing rain. Cooler weather is finally here but it’s still humid as heck. So the air-conditioning and those tank tops stay. We’re finally down to the 80s, hahaha, and that’s as far down as it’ll go. I envy everyone who’s whipping out their sweaters and hoodies and basking in the crisp cool air of fall *sobs*.

Have a great week ahead.

It’s sweater and hoodie time in our neck of the woods!!! With my arthritis, I don’t handle the cold very well…but don’t like the sweltering hot, either….could it be I’m quite hard to please?!?!? 😉

Wow! I’ve never run across anyone who has done NaNoWriMo. Most folks I know have no idea what I’m talking about. I’d be curious to find out what percentage of the people who sign up actually accomplish their word count. That’s a lot of words for one month! I’m going to give it a try. We started a massive clean up today and I’m exhausted. We didn’t finish, so I know what I need to do all day tomorrow. 😛 Have a great week.

Hi, I’m visiting from FMW. I love this post, I’m gonna check it out. I would love for you to stop by and follow if you like. I’m also hosting a “30 Day Mom Challenge” that you may want to participate in.

We’re still suffering with heat and humidity in South Florida, so you’re not alone. The humidity has dropped a tad, but we’re getting rain every other day. I’m with you, looking forward to some relief!

Have a great rest of your week.
