Made with love

My vegetarian pizza is a real hit with my girls. Ever since I started making this pizza, the occasional mumbling under the breath about vegetarian day and wanting to order in from Domino’s have stopped.

It’s been ages since I made my own pizza crust. Laziness has gotten the better of me. Store-bought pizza base is equally good and that’s what I’m about these days. The hard work of cutting and topping with fresh tomatoes, onions, Portobello mushrooms and cheese can be left to my 2 eager beavers while I put my feet up.

When I’m not looking, my pizza chefs will sneak on more cheese than I’d normally allow. They know my policy. Cheese, yes but not too much! But sometimes if I want some help in the kitchen, I just have to close one eye 😉 .

This pizza is completely meatless but with a generous sprinkling of love. Usually I can only stomach 1 slice of pizza, 2 slices tops! But this is so, so good, I may even have an extra slice.

Meat aside, what are some of your favorite veggie toppings? And how much love do you sprinkle on?

We LOVE veggie pizza! Mushrooms, spinach, olives, tomatoes, onions, garlic, basil, peppers… my kids will eat it all. Jealous that you can use store bought crust. We’re gluten free and usually make our own because the mixes aren’t tasty and are too expensive. Stopped by from Relax and Surf Sunday. 🙂

I love mushrooms, spinach, tomato, onion, garlic– my mouth is watering now.

I normally make all my pizzas from scratch because my guys love stuffed crust. So, I use string cheese to make it for them. Now that I’m gluten free, I haven’t made one in a while. I think I need to dig for a recipe to make gluten-free crust.

Friday is homemade pizza night in our house. We have two favorites; traditional cheese topped with grape tomatoes and peppers, and my favorite caramelized onions and chunks of mozzarella. Of course both contain heaping amounts of love.

Going gluten-free is a great idea but I doubt we could be disciplined enough.

Thank you all for sharing your ideas for toppings.
