Sh-weeet!

Wow, another blog award! This is the second one from my friend, Jen at What Would Jen Do? in as many weeks and to top it off, it’s the Irresistibly Sweet Award too 😀 .

Reading Jen’s post, I can’t believe how much she and I have in common. Sweet is not a word that’s commonly associated with me. I’m kinda the Lone Ranger doing my own thing and not afraid to speak my mind, oftentimes with a big sprinkle of sarcasm thrown in.

This whole non-conformist streak of mine is compounded by the fact that Asians tend to be very agreeable and don’t often take kindly to people who voice their opinions and who go off and do their own thing. I guess that removes all hopes of me ever being considered sweet 😆 .

Now on to my 4 guilty pleasures which the award requires me to list:

1. Raybans. I’ve only ever worn Raybans. I think they’re really cool. I like shades that are all dark, not graduated. I recently bought myself two new pairs in CA, one pair which I’m sharing with Raine.

2. Victoria’s Secret. Raine and I have just bought a whole stash of their clothes and shoes, underwear, no. They’ve got some seriously gorgeous stuff that’s very much our style, a bit pricey but at least we know we’re not likely to run into someone wearing the same thing here.

3. Perfumes. Up till last Christmas, I was partial to Estee Lauder fragrances. But between the girls and I, we picked up 5 bottles of fragrances recently in CA and now finally, we all get to smell like roses 😆 .

4. A premium cup of coffee. Starbucks is not my thing. I don’t like getting ripped off. Their muffins are rock hard crumbles. I can make better ones, no kidding. Their coffee isn’t half as good as San Francisco Coffee’s or even Coffee Bean’s.

I’m supposed to pass on this award to 6 other bloggers but this is where I usually get stuck. So since it’s almost midnight, I’m going to open this up to anyone who’s feeling like saccharine and would like to grab this award! I’m shameless so I’m not going to hold it against you 😉 . Feel free!

my husbands grandfather is Japanese, so my hubs is only a little bit japanese but we have the Asian last name. i always feel like an impostor when people see our last name and then see me, a definite white girl. then i sometimes feel like they aren’t so agreeable to me any more!
