Truth is I’ve not been able to stay away. Simple as that. Not that I even tried.

Being a mom myself, I find it truly appalling that a mother aka Casey Anthony could spin such a giddy web to lies to cover up what (I believe) she did to her little daughter. Mind you, Caylee Anthony was only 2. We hear about the terrible two’s but if you ask me, there’s nothing terrible about a child at age 2.

Two is when a child is just starting to become inquisitive about everything. I remember my kids at that age asking 100 questions per hour, and those little feet going 100 miles an hour.

It really tears me up to watch those pictures and videos of little Caylee, happy and carefree and totally oblivious to the fact that her own mother, the one person she should trust to love and protect her, would be the one to do something so unthinkable to her.

How could anyone snuff the life out of their 2-year-old, then throw her body out like garbage into the woods, just so they could go about their wild partying ways without being tied down to the responsibility of being a mother and raising their child? It’s absolutely beyond me.

I mean, Casey Anthony really didn’t have to kill Caylee. She had just about the best support system there is, one that would be the envy of young mothers everywhere. Her parents and brother doted on little Caylee (and who wouldn’t? she was so cute!). She could’ve just left her with them. Or given her up for adoption.

Day after day, I’m glued to the courtroom circus, legal analysis and never-ending twists and turns. Another week or so before the defense wraps up the case and then it’s anyone’s guess. I can’t wait to see how this will all turn out for Casey Anthony.

So anyhow the girls are getting all excited about our upcoming trip to Disneyland, CA. The last time we made a trip to Anaheim with the kids, Raine was only 3 years old, Steev was 5 and Skye was a wee babe who was too young to come with us.

One of my girl friends was saying it’s pointless bringing kids on long, expensive trips when they’re toddlers because well, if they’re like her son, they won’t remember a single thing about the trip so it’s like they never went at all.

I tend to be less concerned about them remembering the trip. I just want it to be an adventure for them, a chance to expose them to new sights and sounds. And the best thing for me, as a parent, is getting a glimpse of our crazy world through their eyes.

It’s always so much fun having them with me (though I darned near broke my back that time lugging two kids around for those 3 weeks ) and just seeing their excited smiles was good enough for me, seriously!

And both Steev and Raine remember our Disneyland trip well. Who says toddlers can’t remember? Raine happily recalls us buying her a princess tiara which she proudly wore as we walked out of the store on Main Street USA!

That tiara is now one of her prized possessions and even now, once in a while, she takes it out of her closet, carefully places it on her head and dances around with it.

Good times! It’s really nice to have those memories and keepsakes to treasure and those photos on our stair wall, of course. If you ask me, it’s totally worth the time, money and even breaking my back .

Just then, a mother and her toddler plonk themselves down at the table next to us… which would be fine except then, the child starts bawling and beating the table… which really starts to annoy me!!

I know, I know, being a mom, I should be very used to bawling kids and childish tantrums. Well, actually no, my kids were never like that! So I have an extremely low tolerance for tantrum-related behavior and sometimes I feel like hauling up people’s kids and giving them a good ticking off. Come to think of it, I have .

If I see kids zipping between the racks, running around people’s legs and knocking down cans and scopes, and their parents are nowhere in sight or pretending not to notice, I would tell them off “Stop running around!!” and give them my killer stare. Yes, I have this killer stare that stops kids (and adults) instantly and freezes them in mid-action, bwahaha!

No, I’m not being mean or interfering, I just don’t understand why some parents don’t, or simply won’t, discipline their kids. I don’t believe in spanking kids either but with some kids, it just has to be done, period!

In fact, I have to admit I loved it so much I would apply for a day off work to rush to the sales first thing in the morning. I would sometimes spend half a day just dallying over all the little girls’ clothes.

I would pick different designs and colors, mostly the ones I would wear myself, hehe! These designs below remind me of similar ones I have bought for my girls back then.

BG Beautiful Girls – Girls Sleeveless Jean Set – Love the one-sided ribbon on the sleeve, sash belt and tattered legs. Very funky lemon top!

Soup – Toddler Girls’ Sleeveless Skirt Set – Love the lacey skirt trimmings and graduated bright pink from top to bottom!

Flowers by Zoe – Girls’ Tiered Skirt – Love the shimmery tiers on this one!

Of course, I loved tying up their hair with matching accessories too. Not to mention that shopping has gotten a lot less brokeback, or is it, back-breaking since then and you can always go dig around Bargainchildrensclothing.com for great prices and nice designs like these.
