I never expected this but I’m thrilled to receive this award from not just one, but two beautiful blogger friends, Liz Has a Life and What Would Jen Do. Thank you, Liz and Jen, so honored .

And now for 7 things that you may or may not already know about me:

1. I’ve graduated from bathroom singing in my teens to terrorizing my teens with  my singing bawling!

2. There’s nothing more mind-blowing than spicy food!

3. Me and my girls can’t wait to go for another rock concert. Looks like I may have created a monster when we went to see the Backstreet Boys and then the All-American Rejects twice!

4. I look forward to occasions when I get to dress up and go out for a nice dinner.

5. My favorite nail polish colors are blue, green and purple. I’m growing my nails again and I’m going to splash them with color. Soon!

6. Sometimes I wonder if maybe, just maybe, I’m some sort of schizophrenic. I’m a quiet person but I love to talk. Does that make any sense at all?

7. I hate popping pills even when I have a migraine. So no migraine headache relief for me, thanks, just leave me to my misery. I’m stubborn that way!

So here I am, on a Saturday, lazing around. Lots of things on my to-do list but just can’t seem to get off my butt . Just one of those days. So let’s do something totally random here. Found this on Blazing Minds.

1. What did you have for breakfast?

Spicy tuna sandwiches, coffee and homemade soy bean milk.

2. When was the last time you had a party?

You’re talking to an un-party animal here .

3. If you had a choice of living anywhere in the world, where would it be?

On a small island in the middle of the ocean with lightning-speed internet access and an open invitation to Paul Walker to drop in any time . By the way, anyone know when the next Fast and Furious is coming out? I miss my guy!!

4. Do you think 3D television is really going to be the next big thing?

I think TV is headed to the museum. Who needs TV when you can watch movies on  your PC? I mean, I watched my first 3D movie at the Epcot Center, Florida ages (and I mean, ages) ago and it’s only in the past year that they’re actually getting off the ground (just a little!). It was interesting but what’s wrong with 2D? I like 2D. Must everything be so true to life? Can’t we just leave some things to the imagination ?

5. What’s the one thing that really annoys you?

Justin Beiber!

6. What are you thinking right now? Not then but now!!!

Where to take the kids for dinner tonight and that I should probably go catch an afternoon nap before we go. What are you doing Saturday night?

… moi. I know, I know, how original can I get, right? Well, just to be different, I won’t number these. I’m sure y’all can count to 5 !

I collect recipes. I started cutting them out of the Sunday papers long before I ever cooked anything edible. No idea what I was going to do with them later.

I adore old T-shirts. My aging T-shirts get a new life as pajama tops. After they become soft and cool, I find it impossible to part with them.

I’ve never ridden a horse (but I know what a horse tack is) and I rode an elephant through the hills and rivers in Thailand !

Big hip confession, I’m not on Facebook . I get these horrified looks from people all the time, “What??? You’re not on Facebook??” like it’s such a huge crime! Well, I’m a Twitter (follow me) kind of girl!

I’m absolutely crazy about Chinese tea. I have a whole collection and I brew a different one every day. I like the more bitter teas, they somehow taste more authentic.

Well, that’s it. I’m sure there must be more but I’ll save those for another time.

Woke up this morning and made myself and the kids a nice breakfast of ham sandwiches and bagels. Last night’s dinner was somewhat lacklustre so we’re making up for it. I got online and was attracted by the interesting questions on this week’s Sunday Stealing meme so I decided to steal it and have some fun with it.

26. What color is your watch? Black.

27. What do you think of when you hear “Australia”? Brown, outback, boring.

28. Would you strip for money? And have everyone in the room drop dead? Nah, I’m pro-life .

29. Do you go in a fast food place or just hit the drive thru? If I’m okay to be seen, I don’t mind going in. But if I’m looking like heck, no thanks. All I need is to run into one auntie (=nosy, tactless women who have nothing good to say!), just one and I’ll never hear the end of it, so no.

30. What is your favorite number? Not real fussy but I love lots of zeros behind the dollar signs .

31. Who’s the last person you talked to on the phone? Hip2bDad.

32. Any plans today? Took Steev for a haircut. Took the girls shopping for birthday presents for their friends (help!). Had lunch at McD. Going to cook claypot tofu for dinner tonight.

33. In how many states have you lived? I’m guessing, 3 or 4.

34. Biggest annoyance right now? My visiting girl friend is giving me hell. I have no idea when she turned into such a control freak!

35. Last song listened to? Something from the All American Rejects. The girls and I were up late last night watching their videos.

36. Can you say the alphabet backwards? Sure, if I had to.

37. Do you have a maid service clean your house? Wish I did, that’d be nice .

38. Favorite pair of shoes you wear all the time? Just bought a new pair of thonged platforms in charcoal black last night. Saw more designs at another store this morning but didn’t have time to stop. Will definitely be checking back next week. These are the only shoes I wear, I love them so much.

39. Are you jealous of anyone? Yeah, when I’m being irrational. But when I rationalize it, I put it down to their good karma and then it stops bugging me.

40. Is anyone jealous of you? If they were, do you think they’d tell me?

41. Do you love anyone? ‘Course, wth kinda question is this?

42. Do any of your friends have children? Sure.

43. What do you usually do during the day? I’m a mom who works from home. If you’re smart, you know a mom’s job is never done and we don’t get paid. If you’re dumb, you’d think I’m sitting on my butt all day getting manicures, having my hair dyed red and totally incapable of carrying out an intelligent conversation! Well, think again!

44. Do you hate anyone that you know right now? Yes, and we just had to bump into them this morning at the mall. My two most unfavorite people in the world and their kids, not good!

45. Do you use the word hello daily? When the occasion calls for it, yeah, but who’s counting?

46. What color is your car? It’s not brown, that’s for sure.

47. What size wedding ring do you wear? No idea, I outgrew my wedding ring after the kids were born, and now I just pretend I’m single and available !

48. Are you thinking about someone right now? Sure.

49. Have you ever been to Six Flags? No, not interested.

50. How did you get your worst scar? I ate the smallest piece of haggis and now I’m scarred for life!

I’ve done it again. Twice in one week! Is that too often or is it okay, when no one’s watching, to sneak around there one more time and grab this from Sunday Stealing?

Q- Quote: Don’t have kids until and unless you are ready. That way, you don’t have to keep praying for the school holidays so you can get them out of your way, or for them to be old enough to leave home. I think kids can sense these things and well, it’s not very healthy.

T- Things you are worrying about right now: what to cook tomorrow

U- Uninterested in: listening to folks who freely dish out unsolicited colon cleanse reviews and where they’ve been on holiday, and what’s healthy and what’s not – seriously boring!

W- Worst habits: frantically switching radio stations to find songs I like, not listen to some deejay crapping all day

Can’t remember when I last did a meme but thought it’d be interesting to do one. I confess I stole this from Sunday Stealing and removed a couple of questions to make it a nice even number.

1. Is there anybody you just wish would fall off the planet? … Yeah, a few but I’m not naming names, you know who you are.

2. How do you flush the toilet in public? … Just like everyone else, I guess. Is there a flushing manual I should know about?

3. Do you wear your seatbelt in the car? … Always and I make everyone else wear theirs too. Too many freakin’ maniacs out there!

4. Do you have a crush on someone?

5. Name one thing you worry about running out of … A crucial ingredient when I’m halfway in a recipe!

6. What famous person do you (or other people) think you resemble? … Question is, which famous person resembles me!! Haha, gotcha!

7. What is your favourite pizza topping? … Pepperoni and mushrooms

8. Do you crack your knuckles? … Don’t know how, am I wierd?

9. What song do you hate the most? … Anything by Aerosmith and that Gaga woman!

10. Did just mentioning that song make it get stuck in your head? … Happily none of their ugly songs come to mind.

11. What are your super powers? … I can read people like books?

12. Peppermint or spearmint? … Spearmint.

13. Where are your car keys? … In their usual place.

14. Last song you listened to? … I Wanna, want me to bawl that for you now? I finally got the lyrics down pat.

15. What’s your most annoying habit? … I bawl in the car and sometimes dance which can be sheer horror to expressionless folks!

16. Where did you last go on vacation? … Somewhere far away, can’t quite recall, the dream was pretty blurry.

17. What is your best physical feature? … On a good day, I’d say my toned tentacles but today is clearly the wrong day to ask, I feel crappy and I look crappy.

18. What CD is closest to you right now? … My backup CD, how exciting is that!

19. What 3 things can always be found in your refrigerator? … Milk, bread and ice.

20. What superstition do you believe/practice? … Not any of that feng shui crap. Seriously you think sticking some golden frog or whatever in the southwest corner is going to get you money or kids or whatever? If feng shui worked, everyone would be rich and famous and happy and there would be no homeless folks and childless couples, simple as that. Sorry, didn’t mean to preach, today I’m Oscar, the Grouch.

22. Would you rather be a fish or a bird? … Bird.

23. Last thing you broke? … My car CD player. Now I’m stuck listening to the crappy radio, bleh!

24. What are you having to eat tonight? … Cloudy with a chance of pork chops.

25. What colour shirt are you wearing? … Cream, you can tell it’s not a good day.

26. If you could be doing anything else today, what would you rather be doing? … Sitting on top of a big boulder watching the waves and feeling the sea breeze!

27. Do security cameras make you nervous? … Should they? But I like to stick my tongue out at them though, boo!!
