Sunday’s the day I go window-shopping and this week, I found some stuff worth going goo-goo-ga-ga over. If I were 18 again, these would be my picks of gifts to receive this Christmas from Mom and Dad, or whoever *shrug*.

This is entirely too gorgeous for words. Seriously! That blue feather adds a touch of native American Indian which I find hard to resist. I would so wear this and never take it off!

We Want to Know Wednesday – Glam edition

Time for another edition of WWTKW with Queso, Mamarazzi and Crazymama. Let’s just say I’m more of a clam than glam.

1. What is your “can’t go without it” beauty product/cosmetic?

Can’t live without my eyeliner, lip gloss, moisturizer and sunblock. Well, I’ve been known to run around sans eyeliner on a lazy day but lipstick is a definite must. If I don a white sheet with no lipstick and flap my arms about, I would scare the daylights out of anyone!

2. Do you apply make-up before or after doing your hair?

Before. My hair is straight and kinda short (at my shoulders) so it needs nothing more than a quick brush or a few shakes.

3. How would you describe your personal style?

I’d have to say practical, comfortable and lots of color. I don’t spend a lot of time pondering what to wear. Skinny jeans, tank top, platform flip-flops or sneakers, chunky bracelets and bangles – my staples all year. One of my favorite chunkies…

4. How long goes it take you to get ready each day?

Um, 20 minutes. If I’m going out to a fancy dinner, it takes me an hour of pacing up and down going “I’ve got nothing to wear!!” and probably another hour to get ready.

5. What is your one pamper, just for you, beauty splurge?

I don’t really have one. Never had a mani, pedi or facial in my life, or any hair steaming or salon fuss. For me, it’s trim and run. Okay, so I’m deprived, I know, but I can’t stand anyone touching and messing with my hair or face. I prefer to do my own messing. Nail polish is my one true love and I lurve buying skincare products especially if they come in pretty packaging .

Ah, the joys of shopping for girls’ clothes! I had my share of fun when my girls were little. I would take a day off from work just to be one of the first to rush into a sale and I would shop for at least half day! The Thai Fair

The girls and I chanced upon a Thai Fair in town last weekend as we were crawling the mall. Skye saw the signboard first as we were going down the escalator, so we turned around and went back up to check it out. Curiosity killed the cat, they say, but not this time.

We weren’t sure what the fair was about but curiosity led us first to this live hand-painted umbrella exhibit. My girls were thrilled to watch the artists at work.

I’ve been to a few places in Thailand including Bangkok (the bustling capital city), Chiangmai (nestled in the mountains to the north of Thailand) and Phuket (think sunkissed beaches and deep blue ocean). Shopaholic that I am, I confess it’s the shopping that I love most about Thailand. And Thai food, of course!

As we made our way into the fair, my main thought was retail therapy galore? I’m hoping… I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed. Yes! Rows of little kiosks tempting us with their dried food, home decor and yes, fashion accessories!

We were wandering from kiosk to kiosk and with each turn, more trendy accessories, wow! It’s hard to control the shopaholic in me but I had to limit us to only about 10 items of fashion accessories including these earrings for my girls.

The pair on the right is made of colored yarn, and the one in the middle is a weave made of bamboo. That turquoise and stone ring is mine, all mine, bwahaha!

While everyone else around us were on their�acer netbooks at Coffee Bean, I was going, ta-da, my spanking new ring! Oh so chunky and oh so me . I’m a ring noob and this is the first ring in my collection. What do you think?
