Chats on the Farmhouse Porch 127
February 18, 2014
Hey everyone, and a very wet Tuesday morning it is. Now on with the chat…
1. Have you been watching the Olympics?
Nope, not at all. I’ve skimmed over some of the news on the internet but nothing excites me.
2. Does the grey winter affect your moods?
Coming from where it’s always summer and the sun hardly misses a day of work, I’m having fun, to be honest. I love the cold, please don’t hate me. I don’t care for the rain but I love the temps being in the 40s (I’m guessing that’s like 4-6C thereabouts? something like that).
The 40s aren’t dreadfully cold and really nice to be out with a light wind blowing. I’m up and out the door at 7:30 every morning when it’s just getting light. On mornings when I choose to stay in, it’s nice to snuggle under the covers for a bit and then have a couple cups of hot coffee or tea.
3. When was the last time you held a baby?
So long I can’t even remember. I’m not someone who runs up to grab someone’s baby. Maybe this comes from the fact that I didn’t like people coming up and grabbing my babies and doing stupid things with them like turning them upside down or swinging them or sniffing them (eww!). So I figured other moms might have their quirks too. If someone offered me their baby to hold, fine, I’d be happy but I wouldn’t pick up someone’s baby without being invited. I might goochiigoochii them but I wouldn’t pick them up.
4. Do you do a thorough spring cleaning each year?
No. I hate cleaning of any kind so if someone, anyone offers to take it on, I’m laughing 😛 .
5. Please tell Wendell a bedtime story. He asked. I said I’d ask you. If you don’t feel that creative, tell him a favorite book you think he might like. please:)
Just recently, I watched a video of “I wanna be like you”, that jazzy “The Jungle Book” song that the kids and I loved to sing along and boogie to when they were little. Brought back sweet memories. Maybe Wendell would enjoy reading about/swinging along with his long-lost cousins?
Okay, that’s it from me today. I’m off to have a banana. Gosh, it’s only 9am and I’m staar-ving AGAIN! Have a fab Tuesday, folks and so glad you’re feeling better, Patrice.
