My MIL thinks we are too strict and that we aren't allowing her to "be a kid." It's suck a crock really. lol My daughter is a good kid because she has well established rules at home and is very well behaved because of it. We allow her to have fun, make messes, and other things...but we really believe that having rules and sticking to them are the best way to bring our children. So, far it's working out well! We are big on rules too! Which sometimes drive my husband crazy. One I am really adamant about is no food upstairs, at all...rinsing milk glasses, no socks laying around the house...and I could go on and on.
