Woke up at 6:30 this morning and it’s another Thanksgiving and no turkey *sobs* ! My fault entirely. I didn’t bother looking for a frozen turkey this year because my oven’s thrown in the towel so even if I had a turkey, I wouldn’t have a place to roast it, short of building a campfire outside my house!

Steev and Hip2bDad won’t be home for dinner tonight. So it’s just us chickens and we’re going to have ourselves a quiet little Thanksgiving dinner of lamb chops with salad and roasted carrots and potatoes.

Thanksgiving always brings back a rush of great memories for me, reminds me how much I miss gobble-gobble and cranberry sauce, and makes me thankful for my three kids who’ve given me an opportunity to be the Mom I never had, who make me laugh (and cry a little sometimes but it’s all good) and who have taught me so much.
