Come to think of it, I’ve rarely bought any gold jewelry for my kids. These days, it’s unsafe to wear jewelry and even the schools have rules against wearing them.

Although it used to be the practice to give small gold trinkets as baby gifts, I doubt many people are doing it any more. Most of the gold gifts actually end up never seeing the light of day because of safety reasons.

I’m not into investing in gold either but I’ve read that it’s a very safe form of investment if you’d like to have a little something stashed away for a rainy day.
